Re: 906 manual

Gerhard,

If I try to download e.g. the 906 Workshop manual I can't get it opened/downloaded.
What do I do wrong?
And what is a download manager?

Re: Fork upgrade 40mm MR1BB

Yep,
Did all the aluminium parts but thought a complete powdercoat would be sufficient (although I did ask a professional welder to correct a few worn out items -center stand and jiffy related).

Re: Clutch Preasure Plate Repair

Boys, To come back to the cause of the cracks. As I can see this "spigot" on the steel pressure plate is -partially- responsible for centering the aluminum pressure plate of the clutch. If you saw/cut it off, the base plate "hangs loose" on one side and I think that this load (of...

Re: Clutch Preasure Plate Repair

Sorry boys, But am I missing something: why can't you just have this plate re-welded properly? I have the same phenomenon (like almost every Paso 750) that the welds are torn. I agree with Gerhard that I would never glue this with epoxy. But again, I'm missing something but is welding so difficult? ...

Re: Hi from Italy!!

Hey Marco, I personally wouldn't anodise the electric base plate since the anodised layer is non conducting and since it used also as a mass …. Have you asked "Rudi" from DUC-ONLY-Parts: rudyberends@kpnplanet.nl? He is a well known used parts supplier for "older" Ducatis (and use...

Re: Hi from Italy!!

Mc Tool, Thanks anyway, I have the new dashboard mounted on the front subframe but not connected sofar. Always assumed that I had to change the whole temperature meter, but happy to hear that it is basically the same meter only with a different "dial". :rimshot: I still have the original (...

Re: Hi from Italy!!

Hey McTool, OK so I "just" need to exchange the dial? Have not looked into the matter but assume I have to carefully remove the plastic cover, then detach the pointer from the temperature gauge and then swap the dial? :?: Or have you just left the water temperature dial on? Frank

Re: Hi from Italy!!

Marco, I personally think that it is usually that part, that is in order (on the other hand, it is not very expensive - if you need it). If you clean the original dashboard gently and at ease, it usually looks a lot better, similar to the eBay article. The perspex front suffers the most fr...

Re: Hi from Italy!!

Hi Marco, Honestly? I doubt it (ordered a brand new tailor made one for my Paso, but that's more out of habit). A few things you should check: distance eye-to-eye of the 999 shock, spring stiffness and if the "piggy back" fits your Paso frame. I see K80, if that is for the spring stiffness...

Re: Fork upgrade 40mm MR1BB

Honestly, I like the outlay of the Paso frames with their square steel tubes and all, BUT ….. it will never look as good as a (trellis) round tube frame coated in bright red, GORGIOUS !!! Also the round tube frames from those days were much better finished in my opinion (weldings and all). Th...

Re: Hi from Italy!!

Hey Marco, I use Officine08 myself regularly (been there once on my way to Pisa, but they were closed  ), in particular they have a lot of "wear and tear" parts for older Italian motorcyles (rubbers etc., the Ariette stuff). As said, let's see how it goes with your dashboard (intrigu...

Re: Mounting a new clutch plates set (Adige DU-81) .....

Adige/Adler is taken over 6 weeks ago they have to fire half of their staff on behalf of the new owner. They had liquidity problems and have now been taken over by an Indian automotive supplier "Endurance".
:,( So I don't think they're going to answer me anytime soon ...
