Re: Technical (non Paso) 1990 900ss

I don't think you have left anything out there, and yes there is provision to fit all ignition parts to the engine without modification as Cagiva wisely covered all options with the crankcases - you have probably seen the blanking plate for the clutch pushrod option as well. You just need to find a ...

Re: Technical (non Paso) 1990 900ss

I was tempted to elongate or reposition the single pick-up of the standard system Phil but it seemed like sacrilege to do that to the engine casing plus as you say, still no facility/much harder to fine tune the settings.

Re: Technical (non Paso) 1990 900ss

All standard coils at the moment Phil although I might try updating with Dyna at some point plus Ignitech etc. I use NGK D8EA on all my 900 2-valvers partly due to my long term satisfaction with them in Lancia 1600HF :)

Re: Technical (non Paso) 1990 900ss

thought I would add the epitaph (and moral) to this 'storm in a teacup' thread for anyone who might still be interested and to serve as a possible guide to future approach of same :- I fitted the Kokusan system complete retarding static by 2.5 degrees and the engine started and ran perfectly. There ...

Re: Goodwood, Chichester, U.K. 'Italian Breakfast' 6th Octob

no takers on here and no Pasos but did get to talk to Tim (owns a 907) by complete coincidence while openly discussing the merit's/pitfalls of the Mito with another potential owner.

Goodwood, Chichester, U.K. 'Italian Breakfast' 6th October

Very short notice but plenty of Ducatis are going and I bet at least one Paso will appear :) Need to get there for 8-9 am ideally as people start leaving around 11oclock.

Re: another planet, another paso 906

Hi Norman Was on 851 but struggled with neck angle a little so back on the Monster/Supercity for now. When I saw your thread title I thought you also had 'another' Cagiva 125 also! (I have 2 1/2 Planets - would you like one? :)) I must tip you off when I go to Bury this year so we can finally meet -...

Re: FARTINESS CURED

Hi Richard Glad you got to the bottom of this problem, I would love to know exactly what your friend did to cure the problem as I wasn't aware there was scope for mixture adjustment (as has been said). I remember that a 'dribbling' injector or one that is malfunctioning can fail to promote good atom...

Re: A tailight mystery

those O.E.M. rear brake light switches are terrible aren't they? the internal spring corrodes, collapses and is usually the only reason for it not working. You go to remove it and the skimpy brass shell of a body distorts enough to stop you undoing it with ease even if you use a ring spanner..

Re: Cam Belt tension bearings

Hi Clive - the 'twin' mobile tensioner bearings are ordinary and easily available. It's the smaller dia static belt tensioner bearing that is more bespoke and more expensive.
