Re: Frame Cutting/Chopping
Thanks! when I started the project I had a webshop selling racing parts, the idea was to build THE SS that Ducati never made dressing it up with parts I was selling on my website unfortunately I had some arguments with a couple of suppliers and for sometime the project was in limbo, then I discovere...
Re: Cog gear
on the spare parts catalogue the gear is held with a circlip and the gear pin is bolted to the crankcase trough a long allen bolt.
my guess is that the pin is fitted with a slight interferance, and the bolt does the holding.

Starting on one cylinder after a long stop
it has been a couple of years that it is happening, after leaving the bike in storage for 4-6 months , it will start on one cylinder, then after few seconds it will run properly.

Re: Pase Engine Number - How old is this engine?
I just checked the engine I have on my Special, it was from an Elefant 750 and the number is ZDM750LE*751354 , not far from yours. my engine was coming form a very early bike, I wonder ... they look the same , the valve train is the same and should be a straight swap. The primary on the elefant da 3...

Re: Charging/electrical question
one word of advise, when you play with looms always do ONE connector at the time, disconnect clean lubricate a reconnect, especially on the old looms. Moderm looms are fool proof either by color coding or using different connectors so you cannot mix them up. Old looms sometimes have the same connect...

Re: Charging/electrical question
P750s are starting to have some age and the first problem with "vintage" looms is that they start to behave weird. First thing, get yourself a new battery (or borrow one that you know it works) , some contact cleaner and some nice contact grease and start cleaning and lubricating all the c...

Re: Alternator cable supplier?
I am assuming your cable is completely rotten and it is falling apart. on my SS Special (same basic engine as in the PASO 750) the insulation of the single cables started to crack after some repairs and replacements I though I got to the rooth of the issue i.e. oxhidation had reacted with the insula...
