Hope not, but worst case scenario is an overtightened oil screen which caused a hairline crack in block.

Lets say the period 900 SS spec is bit more real at 73 hp...

Starter motor most probably just worn brushes, not too hard to fix. And cheap.

I had a hairline crack near oil lines to cooler on my M900.
Used a mandrel to smear together the metal to stop pressure, then thoroughly
cleaned surface and used 24 hour Araldite epoxy.
Lasted 3 years/over 20 000 kms before l got it welded up.

Sonic cleaning and flow testing of injectors I`d do first. Take ALL electric connectors apart and clean and grease them second, what l did even l bought mine, had no problems of that kind since then. Extra check starter circuit, relay and bolt to starter. Check tank pump and electrics, change filter...

For me, Michelin Pilot Road 3 worked very well. Good grip, predictable pretty fast turn in and pretty flickable. Go with 160 for better flickability. Not so fond of the newer PR.
