Re: resurrection

Its got such a good looking frame, it should be shown off. I was just thinking the same. The Sport frame's even prettier than the F1 as it comes without the clunky centrestand lugs. The more I look at my bike the prettier it gets. Thanks again to the site Moderators for adding the Sport page a few ...

Re: 750 Sport restoration project

Great pic - and 40mm Dell'Ortos I think.

Love the look of a Sport with big air under the tank - if you know what I mean...

Re: Dell'Ortos?

Thanks again guys...

Just to confirm - no jet in return line, and no blockage - blew air through return line and could feel it coming out of vent pipe.

Agree with you Phil - if it works OK with the regulator leave well alone and worry about something else!

Re: Dell'Ortos?

Thanks Phil & G for the replies. Tank plumbing is standard and was working fine with the Weber - albeit with the fuel pressure regulator set to 2 psi. I'd assumed that the regulator wouldn't be needed with the Dells as per your setup Phil, but even with the return line in the system the carbs di...

Re: Dell'Ortos?

Another update... Temperatures reached above freezing today so I decided to take the Ducati out for a run. Unfortunately despite specifying smaller needle valves as a precaution, the pump totally flooded both carbs. I replumbed the pressure regulator into the system and everything ran fine. I think ...

Re: Dell'Ortos?

Just a small update... I've fitted cables to throttle and choke, but haven't ridden the bike yet - sub zero temperatures around here. I did buy the Venhill kit, but the galvanised wire was much thicker than the oem stuff, and the attached "carb" nipples (EE7?) were too big to fit in the De...

Re: Cobra F1s incl header in UK

I was considering buying these as spares for my 750 Sport, but a look at the parts fiche tells me that the Paso system has different part numbers to the Sport one - actually looks different too.

I'd be curious to know if this would actually fit a Sport...

Re: 750 running for the first time!

I know that fitting a Pantah rear cylinder head is possible on these engines, but they are extremely rare (read expensive), would need machining (bigger bores on the 750), and the cam has to be meddled with (not sure if someone told me that a front cam can be used) then make an exhaust... I'm no car...

Mikuni Carbs for sale (UK)

Hi - I've got a complete set of Mikunis from an 850 TRX Yamaha. They look to be in excellent condition, but I never pursued fitting them. Also included is a pair of long Ducati inlet stubs that should allow them to fit a Paso 750 or a 750 Sport, another pair of TRX Mikuni carbs complete except for d...

Weber 44 DCNF For Sale

As mentioned briefly on the 750 Sport forum, I'm selling my newly refurbished Weber DCNF carb on ebay. The carburettor has just been returned from UK carburettor rebuild specialists JRS (http://www.jrs.uk.com) who completely stripped, cleaned and overhauled it, and rebuilt it using a Weber build kit...

Re: 750 Sport on ebay (UK)

Silver and black is common? . . . . Really? How's it priced? I thought on first sight that it was/is very expensive. Any thoughts guys coz I really don't know and (for reasons I don't fully understand) I quite fancied it. Silver & Black is rare, but most of the UK guys on here seem to own one.....

Here's a tidy looking Sport on ebay:

One of the more common silver and black ones I'm afraid!

Re: Dell'Ortos?

Hi Gerhard, Good idea - I'll give some oval offset ones a try (I know exactly what you mean). The unused connection is a small fuel vent pipe (I think), and there is one on the other carb. Should have some small diameter pipe on there - my Guzzi Le Mans has the same carbs. Clutch line has a piece of...
