Re: bead blsater cabinets

10 litres of either glass beads or grit is about 45 bucks, and I spose it would pay to get as much crud off before blasting. Do you think you could fit the driers between the compressor and the tank ? I have to drain my tank regularly . I never bothered cleaning stuff too much but gooey stuff will ...

Re: bead blsater cabinets

Thanks Bluey , specially about the driers . I thought that the media , after spraying fell to the bottom of the cabinet and just got sucked up again. Must check the Blaster cabinet kit and see if it has a drier , Thanks Bluey Hamish Yep, the media does circulate but remember it does eventually get ...

Re: bead blsater cabinets

I've used a few and the main dramas i've ever had have been - cabinet is too small to fit your bits... for me that's usually car bits. - using a too small compressor so you can't work long enough (frustrating) - not using enough driers on your compressed air and the blasting media getting soggy and ...

it's actually a simultaneous equation...

solved by both N(ideal) = N(current) + 1 and N(divorce - the number that would instigate divorce proceedings and take half your money) -1

Very nice! I'm just about to refinish my rather shabby example and pics like these just make me excited to get going on it.

Re: Silly Season Again

Bluey even at AU$14.00 you items are too expensive to the UK as the tax charged which is rated on the cost plus postage blows the price through the sky. I have been stung on two items from Australia before one cost only £8.00 to buy and ended up £26.00 extra once customs tax and postage was charged...

Re: Silly Season Again

I wish i charged these prices! Mine are AU$14 each plus shipping on ebay... this goes a long way to explaining why i'm sending so many to the US and UK.

Re: Coolant Loss Mystery

Hi had a similar problem in that after a long ride I would check the fluid level and find that I had lost some coolant... but no obvious signs of anything. Eventually i went through all the drain bolts and hose clamps with a spanner and found the drain bolt behind the radiator was "loose"....

Re: weber manifold "what if ?"

Imagine that this were so, then air speed thru each throttle body would be reduced, leading to fuel mixture problems due to the reduced vacuum. Incidently, running the rear cylinder richer (cooler) is most likely due to it being heated by the radiator whereas the horizontal cylinder is not. Yes, I'...

Re: weber manifold "what if ?"

Yeah but .... the whole idea of individual manifold runners is that there is no interference from adjacent cylinders. The sort of manifold you speak of is called an interference manifold and usually any 2 ( or more ) barrel carb usually have a primary and secondary barrels to provide adequate veloc...

Re: weber manifold "what if ?"

I've heard that runner length can impact the speed of the column of air and thus its momentum into the cylinder, impacting on its filling of the cylinder. Or at least people I know who design for OEM have told me. It's an aerodynamic trade off thing. but that said I'm with you, i would have thought ...

can't say if the above code still works? So if you are after a new set of hoses, it couldn't hurt to contact Bruce. Cheers. Nick. Hi Nick, I ordered some at the end of last year and wasn't allowed to use the discount code, but yes the price has dropped a little from the first sets. I had the usual ...
