Faster, I ride (on my bicycle) around Kyalami race track a couple of times a week and they alternate us between riding around clockwise and anti-clockwise. Clockwise is like one long climb with one steep downhill called the mineshaft. Anti-clockwise is one short slog up the mineshaft and a fast down...

DesmoDog, I really like your 750. You're doing a great job. I have to re-iterate Red's comments. What "off season" ? My only problem is that my bike is in storage for the summer (which is just starting now) as we are renting a smaller house (read smaller garage) while we are building. But ...

Skins,

These are just archives made by a server at a point in time. If you want one of the pictures in a better quality / resolution than it appears on this site you will need to see if Mike still has a backup containing it.

Which date were you looking at ?

Skins, It looks very similar to the coast road from Cape Town through Hout Bay and up over Chapman's Peak. I haven't had the opportunity to ride this road on a motorbike for more than 15 years (Cape Town is 14 hours by car from Johannesburg). I ride it each year on a bicycle as part of The Argus cyc...

How did you enjoy the cricket, Skins ?

Sorry, had to gloat...

Your guys played well and it was nice to beat them, even if it wasn't at rugby.

4 - 0 isn't a true refection of the series.

90_907ie, The kill switch problem has been covered in the past. It is caused by badly designed electrics on the Ducati. Search for a posting by JSclocum to explain why. He also provides a suggested wiring modification to increase the voltage at the colis which will help prevent it happening again (i...

Red, When I was "talking" to him yesterday over IM it was 36C and 60% humidity. 10 minutes later it was chucking it down with rain. He has moved from Pretoria, which is the next city along from Johannesburg (40 km away) and both these cities are on the highveld. This is an inland plateau a...

Skins, The new house is up to the height of the first floor. The sections that will be double-storey will have the upstairs slab cast next Wednesday. The areas that will be single-storey will start having their roof fitted soon. It is planned to be finished during March next year (we have builders h...

That world map of Paso people is great, hey? Lets hope we can fill it right up! Skins, I know I haven't been on this site much in the last couple of weeks but I have no idea what you are on about. Are there any noxious chemicals / fumes released during the jewelry making process ? Paul

Skins,

I think you are referring to Suzuka, which is in a figure of 8 with a very tight chicane just before the start finish straight. This chicane is where Daijiro Kato lost his life.

Luca, Do you ever receive "Topic Reply Notification" messages and click on these to look at a specific message, then exit ? If you do it seems to reset when you last looked at the forum. I don't think the website flags the individual messages as read / unread for each member. What I think ...

Skins,

We get it live here. The 125cc were at 4:00am with the MotoGP at 7:00am. Did you see Lorenzo Lanzi winning the second race of the World Superbikes for Ducati the previous week at Lausitz ?

If I were Regis and Toseland I would be thinking up some good excuses...
