Re: I just bought a 906

Hi Concur there is a mountain of hard earned knowledge already in this site. I'm in London if you ever need actual physical help with her. Not sure about the 'stick with the weber' comment. I'm just about to official give up on the f**king things and stick an old pair of dellortos I have tucked in t...

Re: Coolant check . Any help appreciated

Hi Gavin
I'm also in London. Where are you specifically? Would be nice to meet sometime on paso's if you're up for that?
I'm in SE London Forest Hill on the south circular.
Best regards

Re: Fairing screws

Just checked as I thought I didn't get such a good deal :-( Their m6x20 are £1.79 each so £17.90 for 10. Plus no black plastic washer and no shoulder. Looks like the wemoto deal is good. Cannot find a black m8 button for the top two screws on either site though! Keith MM in a gloriously sunny London...

Fairing screws

Wemoto uk are currently having some sort of sale on various sizes of pro-bolts. Looking through they did have black m6 x20 aluminium button head screws- just the job for the paso. Comes with a washer ( I assume it's black plastic) and a collar ( which I guess I will glue in place. Pack of 10 for £8....

Re: Alternative alternator cover

Thanks for all your wise suggestions and ideas. This forum is a bit like having a few knowledgable mates popping around throwing a few ideas about. This contrasts with some forums that are more like popping into the pub and a load of drunks don't listen properly and come up with all sorts of stupid ...

Alternative alternator cover

Hi. I have been chasing a leak on the alternator side for a few weeks now. Two new gaskets, a whole load of new helicoil threads to replace stripped ones and finally the penny has dropped. For unknown reasons someone has had to TIG a very small repair near one of the bottom threads. The face is nice...

Re: 907 rear 40T sprocket 520

True but I want the rear sprocket delivered by Friday so I can have t.he bike running by the weekend. Ordered another one in the evening to ensure this happens. I'm down a few pounds but can't be bothered waiting and explaining. Probably explains why I'm poor! Keith MM Offer still stands if anyone w...

UK paso owners meet Spring 2017?

Just putting it out there!
Anyone fancy meeting up in 2017?
Are there enough still on the road in the uk to make it worthwhile?

907 rear 40T sprocket 520

I rather hastily ordered a rear sprocket late one night on eBay for my 906. I was very surprised when it didn't fit until I spotted I had clicked on a bloody 907 sprocket. aaarrrrrgggghhh :banghead: So for sale a brand new, unused 907 sprocket (ahem! Shall we say £10 and £2.50 p&p? Cost m...

Re: Rear sprocket hub bearing tool

Sorry Frank it's not you its me. I meant the rear sprocket hub. I will try to change the title. No photo but there's as steel tube cast or inserted Into the aluminium sprocket hub carrier. The outer bearing needs to be pushed about 10cm down the tube. No easy unless you have a tool or someone who's ...

Rear sprocket hub bearing tool

I had need to replace the two bearings in the rear brake housing. One has to be inserted at the bottom of a long(ish) steel tube. I had to make a drift on my lathe to allow the bearing to be inserted squarely by the outer edge. If any uk paso owners need to borrow this in the future I'm happy to pos...

Re: Headlight beam cutoff - MOT

Hi, I just had my 906 MOT' ed by my local mot man. Nothing even mentioned when he tested the headlight ( sure he would mention it , if it was swinging the other way!) To be honest this is an old school MOT place where he is 'sympathetic' to old bikes' and the mot is more of a time to chat about bike...

Re: Any golden tyres/Shinko tyres left?

Took the new Shinko tyres out of their packaging and took them to the local tyre place. Fully expecting the manufactured date to be a few years back when they first announced they were going to make them. Pleasantly surprised to see week 5 and week 6 of 2016 as the manufacturing date on the side! Ma...

Re: Any golden tyres/Shinko tyres left?

Wow! You really are committed to the paso! Even if the world goes to s**t and we end up living in a post modern steam punk dystopian future I know there will still be a paso blitzing through the twisty roads of New Zealand!,
Nice one
