Re: How do I rotate photos once attached?

Ok, thanks for the replies. I was out of town so slow to acknowledge. Posting a test pic now that I processed through my Apple editor. Have previously posted most pics using my work computer, which is MS. Pic is my Paso in the shop with a friend's Espada up on the lift. The Espada's been sitting for...

Re: How do I rotate photos once attached?

Ok, so you actually uploaded, modified, and then reposted my pics when you turned them around? Apparently my default photo viewer doesn't save the image in its new position once rotated, because that's exactly what I tried and it didn't work. The odd point is, the images always display right-side up...

How do I rotate photos once attached?

My photos seem to invariably display upside down. I've tried rotating them in my photo viewer before posting them, yet they still display upside down; see my latest update on the repair of my cracked engine case. In an earlier post on the cracked case, paso 750 turned my photos around for me. How di...

Re: Cracked engine case 1988 Paso

I've managed to get the Paso out several times since my case "repair," and so far it seems to be holding fine. No leaks of any kind. And still running great on the Weber! Not the prettiest "repair," but seems to be working, and besides, it's mostly invisible once the cam belt cog...

Re: 1988 Paso 750 finally running with the Weber

It's probably yet a little too early to declare victory, if only because I haven't ridden it enough and in enough varied conditions, but yeah, no stumbling so far at any rev range. It pulls very cleanly. I need to put a little more slack in the throttle cable - it's a bit of a light switch the way I...

Re: 1988 Paso 750 finally running with the Weber

The weather's finally been nice enough to get out and ride the now Weber-ized Paso. Haven't quite figured out cold-starting protocol, seems to want a fair bit of gas. Temps are in the 50s-60s F. Full choke and 3 twists of the throttle seems to give the quickest start. On the move it's great, with im...

Re: 88 Paso throttle cable

I'll second Motion Pro. I've bought from them for other projects and always good quality and properly made. Only down side is you can't ride while you're waiting for cables, and if he doesn't have any old ones for patterns ...

Re: Cracked engine case 1988 Paso

I had a hairline crack near oil lines to cooler on my M900. Used a mandrel to smear together the metal to stop pressure, then thoroughly cleaned surface and used 24 hour Araldite epoxy. Lasted 3 years/over 20 000 kms before l got it welded up. That's good to know, and I was thinking of the same pro...

Re: Cracked engine case 1988 Paso

Good luck with the epoxy. Thanks for your posts. By the way, I really am stoked that you're writing about it in "the magazine" I've been hoping for a Paso feature for many, many years. What luck, you've fallen for one! :^) Thanks randtcastell. Been wanting one for years, hope to put toget...

Re: 88 Paso throttle cable

I found mine at https://www.stein-dinse.biz/ . Throttle cable was item #400520157 and choke cable was item #037054130-Z. Both fit/work perfectly and were pretty inexpensive.

Re: Cracked engine case 1988 Paso

We think alike. I've already found a set of used cases in excellent shape. I've used a dremel to carefully clean the area and get to clean aluminum, followed with multiple spray/wipe downs with brake and electric parts cleaner. It's pretty clear that whoever did the first "repair" spent li...

Cracked engine case 1988 Paso

The party never ends. No sooner do I revel in the apparent success of getting my Paso's Weber sorted than I discover something of a disaster. I'd noted some oil leaking, apparently from the timing layshaft seal. Forum searches suggested this is fairly common so I wasn't too worried. With the Weber n...

Re: 1988 Paso 750 finally running with the Weber

Yeah, kinda funny, it's so damn quiet now with Silentium mufflers and the stock air box and all. I might have to put the SuperTrap mufflers it came with back on just to give it a little more aural personality. That'll have to wait a bit. First I want to replace the timing belt layshaft seal and then...

1988 Paso 750 finally running with the Weber

To my great surprise my 1988 Paso is running on the Weber. I've posted about wanting to get it back to stock and my subsequent failure at getting it sorted in other threads, but apparently I finally did something right because it's up and running, and quite nicely at that. Keep in mind I haven't act...
