Re: 750 Sport restoration project
Thanks mate, mum was a rider back in her early years so I'm sure she'll be ok if I get back to the ducati in a couple of weeks, cheers Andrew.

Re: 750 Sport restoration project
Cheers Andrew, I got the 89 back and all sing and dance no problems mechanically, sadly mum slipped away a few days ago so nothing's happening on the bike for a little while.

Re: 750 Sport restoration project
The mirrors look good and should be a pretty stable view I guess, I'm not sure if the original setup mirrors are vibratey or not as not really having that experience yet, looks like you won't need to water ya lawn for a while, the bikes looking sweet.

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss

Pretty much got all the usual symptoms, id like to be out preparing the shed for painting and a myriad of other things but can't get off the bloody couch.l hear ya about finis...

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss
It's good you can catch up with your boy soon, we're just starting to get covid here, I tested pos yesterday so another week in iso.The bike is pretty clean and the spare tank is what's on it now, just for these last mechanical bits , hopefully Justin sorts the clutch without too much drama then I'l...

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss
Well I got this far on Sunday then informed I had to isolate for a week due to a close contact at a party on Saturday. She was going to protwin on Monday so now that's all pushed back, and he's always busy so will need to rebook. Only silver lining was it was bloody good party. So close haha , I'll ...

IMG_18022022_202740_(1024_x_768_pixel).jpg I've been pressed for time myself lately and being a bit slack at responding to stuff, I think you said it all with the front end feels a touch off but she still handles beautifully. The thing is these pantah engined bikes are so good and so mysterious we ...

Re: 750 Sport restoration project
Hi mate, I'm not sure if the 750 is the same as mine but a oil leak around that area could be from the clutch push rod thing , have a butchers at this pic, mine is from a previous post, the bit of of rag bashed in there is just so I can start up to show off to a mate at this stage, but an easy fix, ...

Re: 750 Sport restoration project
When you get to resetting / adjusting your front end, careful on the pinch bolt tension. I overdid it and found out the hard way that the top clamps are hard to get. I just felt my front suspension and there's a little clunk or something there as well, slight but there.

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss
Here's a picture of the filters , it all seems to fit without any cutting of the frame. Contrary to what I just said, both battery straps need some bending and I remember a slight mod to the original coil brackets and the fcr 41's will fit this model, I think the inlet tracts and rubber connector ar...

Re: 750 Sport restoration project
Wow fantastic stuff, I'm super inspired right now. To hear the excitement and joy you're getting from your first run is just awesome, you've obviously owned, ridden and riding some really nice bikes so that just speaks volumes mate, happy for you mate, you've put the effort in.Also great to hear the...

Re: Oil leaks 89 900 ss
Mate, I tried looking into that but no luck. Nothing in any of my manuals and steinedinse seemed to have changed their format so no go there either. With my bike I don't need anything re the bent tray straps, keeps it pretty snug. Maybe some kinda foam wedged in there, I've never seen a proper facto...
