Okay so replaced my throttle cable with a new Venhill do it yourself kit and a lovely job it was until I fitted it into the handlebar control where the slightly thicker inner cable does not want to fit in the groove. Seems very quiet on here but none the less also in addition to the plate sequence and size any ideas on the clutch spring lengths ( maximum and minimum? :banghead:

Are you talking about the rear side lower fairing or the actual rear seat pod unit at the rear of the bike? I am assuming these are the lugs that clip into the lower part of the tank left and right side, they are commonly missing having been snapped off. Possibly yours have had threads put into them...

Both of my engines (one is a spare) side cases appear to have been repair welded due to sprocket /chain damage and are as solid as a rock, no seepage or warping so obviously if the job is done properly there should not be an issue.

I had spoken with these folks at a classic event I went to and they seemed quite receptive at the time they also were happy to see...
