Re: 907 bursts into flames.

I saved my red 907 from flames. The rectifier caught fire. I wonder if the same thing happened to that 907 :,( Ciao was the bike running at the time or stopped? ...just contemplating on the usefulness of a battery isolator switch :dunno: In hindsight I wish I bought that one. It was advertised for ...

Re: not all BATTERIES are the same !!!

I was actually thinking about a lithium battery for the 851, the advantages are obvious, light, small and powerful...but is it going to last?

Re: 907 bursts into flames.

this may not be an electrical fire...looks like the top of the petrol tank has gone up in flames, even if the wires in the tank short out it should not cause a fire, in the last few mth I have attended 3 refrigeration units which were badly damaged by fire, in my opinion all caused by vandals using ...

I'm not sure what to think of it...you have done a good job, and you probabily deserve 10/10 for individuality, but I wouldn't rush and do the same to my 907 :D
do you have any pics, fairing removed, I'm curious to see what you've done with the frame :dunno:

The 907 tank is different. It also has a plate that the front mount is mounted on so they do not crack like the tanks on the 750 and 906 that front tank mount is supporting a bit of weight and only has a few spot welds to hold it together, I've added some metal bonding glue around the base to stren...

Re: Clutch Mod. "Thank you Donaldoduck!"

Sorry du907 , but I cant agree with that . The depth or shape of the slots in the outer basket have no influence on the position of the "pressure disc spring retainers " as these are screwed into the clutch hub, even if the stack was higher these retainers wouldn't move . With both types ...
