parts again! does any one know if the ss rear master cylinder is same as 750 paso? and also speedo cable/ desmodave

No it`s not. The mounting hole distance is 40mm instead of 50mm but maybe an adapter plate can be made ...
If I remember well the speedo cables is too short. I had 2, not sure if from Supersport or Monster and both didn`t fit.

Replacement speedo cables can be ordered from http://www.mdinaitalia.co.uk. Less than £15 and very quick service.

I replaced my rear cylinder with this one but you do need to make up a plate to cater for the 40mm spaced holes.

There are 2 photos and a diagram attached. It's difficult to get an angle for a clear photo but you can get the idea.

Three holes in a plate;
bottom cylinder mounting bolt goes through lower hanger hole, hole 1 in plate and lower cylinder mounting hole
top cylinder mount is secured with countersunk bolt through hole 2 in the plate
hole 3 in the plate is used to secure top end of plate to upper mounting hole in hanger
