Worn Rear Suspension

Post by motiztab »

Ok I said on a another post that my bike has worn bush's in the rocker arm.
I have found that the bearings for the rear shock mount are standard needle roller type available from any bearing supply, so are the seals and needle bearing for the front mounting point of this arm to the frame.
But the distance piece as its called by the Ducati parts list is not available from Ducati any more! The distance peice is what I would call the inner race for the front bearing.
From looking at the new bearing and the old distance piece I would say there is still wear.
Trouble is where can I get one of these??
My Triumph has the same sort of set up and the only way to get rid of all the movement was by changing bearing, distance peice and mounting bolt as they all wear togather and that bike has grease point which the Ducati has not.

So a word of warning to all check for wear and if in doubt take the arm off and repack the bearings/change the seals.
I have been offered a complete arm for £80+Vat.

Help
