Disc rotors

Post by silverfox »

My front rotors are not original but have been made I believe by a local engineering company.
The problem is they are not true and cause a shudder -I have had them skimmed but that was done off the bike on a flat magnetic bed machine (I can't find anyone in NZ who will do it on the bike)
This improved things but far from perfect.
Can you buy replacement rotors?
Do any floating rotors fit?
Can the calipers be made floating?

Cheers Tony

Gidday Tony,

have you tried Phil Sutton at Desmocycle in Christchurch, Ph (03) 344 1916?

Tony,

You can found a front discs rotor fully floating.
See http://www.excellence-international.com
I have bought a pair last year for my 750 SPORT 89'
