Gerhard,

Are you switching to a floating rear brake??

one day I may, but not as a necessity as I don`t think there`s any other reason than looks to do that job.
I already have 3 hanging systems an original from an 900SL, one aftermarket and another aftermarket from ISR which came from a 888 (the caliper and bracket are made out of one part). The issue is I don`t find a rear caliper that matches design and colour of my 6 piston Nissin front calipers

MV F4?
Very nice    .
You can try painting the rear caliper. I seen something, it isn't impossible to do a good worg.

MV F4?
no. The one from the MV are (I think) the same, but the mounting hole distance on the MV is different, not 40mm.

No real progress this year.
Not so much driving as I wanted, :-( .

The mapping is not dialed in correct.
I have it running quite well in cruising mode. But the acceleration is not set yet.
The throttle response is not correct. Leans out. I use only throttle respons. Will try to use MAP (Manifold Air Pressure) also.
But I need a more stable MAP then. I take the MAP from one manifold only.

Helped a guy from Germany, who had a 900SS converted to MSQ. Got some logfiles from him, that I shall have a look at.
Will probably help me to get correct acceleration settings.

Spark control is also in the project plans.

Cheers.

Here is a fuel map of a Cagiva GC, the 900 w 750 heads:

Maybe it can give you some hints.

Thanks,

It seems very useful, and according to what I rememeber, i'm on right track for cruising speed up to ~5000 rpm. :P

Little info about the problem I have.
Image

Link to image: http://picasaweb.google.se/antosim/Ducc ... 7670334834
The important lines, white, violet and light yellow
The white line(middle window) is the injector opening time in milliseconds PW.
TP line, violet (upper window), is the throttle opening in percent.
Light yellow (lower window) is the AFR ratio, Air/Fuel Ratio, 14.7 is optimal. Above 14.7 is lean= more air than fuel, below 14.7 is fat, more fuel than air.

When I twist to almost full acceleration the pw increases as expected, more fuel. But the AFR does not decrease as much as excpected.
TP is 80% during the almost whole picture. The pw start decrease immediately and stops after 1.2 sec at 11ms.
The AFR then leans out and the acceleration stops.

This part I have to figure out how to solve.

A/F 14,7 is the stoicmetric value, ideal for chemically best/cleanest burn.
It is not best for best power which is more around 13-13,5.
14,7 at full throttle/high RPM could be dangerous, too lean, could burn valves etc.

Your throttle opening values should rather result in a little rich condition, A/F sure looks strange.

Currently I'm running a quite good setup map.
I made some changes in the throttle setting.

Fast acc response without hickups. Previous I had it much to lean at ½ to full throttle.

Also good at lower rpm(<4000) and <¼ throttle opening.

There is a minor glitch at ~4500-5000 rpm at specific throttle opening.
No big issue though.

It runs little rich allover, but I'm decreasing the setting slowly.
One reason to get it out, :P

Working on to connect the ignition controller also.
Some Q to be answered: How to get the timing( Paso original VR/magnetic or external trigger wheel).
I have one idea about to put a small 2" trigger wheel at the cam timing driver pulley.
Probably need a machine shop to make one for me.

So far this season has been very good.
The bike runs better this year than previous.

Keep the bikes running!!

Same here w MyECU, feels like a safe way to do it.

Your idea about cam wheel f ignition probably right, that´s the solution I`ve seen done before.
Or another flywheel w a sensor in alt cover like 907, not too easy, though.

Anyway, good to hear of some progress! :)
