Also i am intrested, cause i have already 907 swingarm for my 750 Paso waiting to 17" swap, but i dont start modification, before i have used my new 16" Michelins and if cant find anymore those tires, or another 16" tires. Paso looks better with 16" wheels... :smoke:

I recently picked up a 907 swingarm, also, and it appears to be a direct swap into the frame and suspension linkage. I compared it with a spare 750 swingarm, so a side-by-side comparison looked like a direct swap. As for the axle, I'm not sure. I didn't measure the two to compare them. I don't know if the axle adjusters are the same as a Monster or 888, but I do know that both swingarm end covers (the gold ones that the adjuster bolt goes through) are still available from Ducati. Oddly, they are listed as separate part numbers, and the right one is $25 USD and the left one is $35 USD. I'm not too sure about the caliper bracket, as it is part of the inner bearing race support, so it's width will be somewhat dependant on which wheel you plan on using.

If I think about it, I'll try to take a picture of the 907 and 750 swingarms when I get home.

done that longer time ago.

The front bearings are the same so the axle diameter is also. As both swingarms are identical in the front part the axle swingarm/engine should be the same.

I thought I'd seen a picture of the two swingarms before.

You are correct that each swingarm would use the same engine/frame pivot bolt. The two swingarms are basically identical except for the last 3" where the wheel axle would mount. On the topic of wheel axles, both are 17mm in diameter, but I don't know if they are the same length or not. If the 907 axle is different in length, the 750's rear wheel axle may or may not be compatible with the 907 swingarm.

I'm not so sure about chain tensioner's mounting in the axle. There're two great differences between P750 axle and 907ie one: the lenght and the chain tensioner, I suspect they're quite different!
In parole poere: e il millerighe? sei sicuro che sul tenditore assiale sel 907ie ci vada senza problemi?

What you mean for MILLERIGHE???
signs marked on the hole of wheel axle??
Do you think that wheel axle and chai rgister are different from monster 888 series??

Nicola cosa intendi per millerighe??? ,
i segni che si vedono dove si inserisce il perno ruota???
pensi che l'insieme perno-tendicatena sia diferente dalla serie monster 888 etc??

Axle is the same on 907 as on my Monster and therefore also same on 851/888.
The part of cain tensioner inside the swing I have not checked but I`ll bet it`s
the same 907-M/851/888.

The 16" rim has a different chain tensioner sistem from 17" one.
In the 16" you have a sort of alluminium bush in each side of the axle, that is to spin in a circular seat of the swingarm; to make the bushes spin at the same time, they have a sort of tread (like a very thin gear) that matches in the wheel axle, that has the corrispondent gear/tread (what the H*** is the english for this???), so the entire assembly bush/axle/bush can spin altogeter.
17" rims on 907ie and earlier ducs, have a standard chain tensioner, that does not require the bushes and the tread
Just have a look to the pics in the gallery to realize what I'm saying

You might be lucky and be able to machine a spacer to install inside the swingarm and fix it to the tensioner... have you asker for some pic of the axle and the drawings?
Wich bike comes the rim from? maibe an used axle should be the easiest solution...

This is often refered to as a "splined shaft". Those "teeth" that are parallel with the axle are "splines".

I can check the dimensions between the 750 and 907 axles when I get home (if I remember).....if you want a 907 axle, here's one....

If you offer him a little less money, he'll probably take it. I talked him down a little on the brake caliper bracket that he had......he also has the swingarm available. He may work out a deal with you on the adjusters with end caps, too....never hurts to ask....
