For the 750... Fastest I ever hit was 130 on a flat stretch. My friend said he pushed 130 out of the bike on a down hill slop in Canada when he first bought the bike. That's just the 750 though

Duc speedometers are very, very optomistic in their readings!! You gotta have a GPS on board to really measure.

Not just Ducati, most motorpickle speedos are optimistic.

When an Italian magazine made the test, the Paso reached 204 km/h = 126,6 mph.

I generally get an indicated 115 mph. Haven't had a long straight to see if I get much higher.

Have not had the chance to GPS my 906 but saw almost 140 on the clock and still had a bit left, have no idea what actual speed may have been. I suspect the 907 might have a little more on the top end than the 906

Nope, just plaing old BS. On the paso (as you know) speed is measured at the front wheel. On my later bikes it's by Hall (magnetic) sensor at the rear wheel.

Maybe, maybe not. Your interpretation is probably better than mine!

Gearing is certainly a factor and sometimes lower gearing can result in a higher top speed.

I mean just gearing, as Gert stated, sorry. It is important to know, what sprockets guys use if they test top speed. Anyway only accurate system is GPS with top speed hold....
