You can see it on the Bauke Miedema's site.
The carbon fairing is the final modification for improve the handling.

Nice paso (not that I have ever seen a bad one).

A few interesting mods there by the looks, what has been done to it

That is certianly an impressive list of mods & a very nice looking rear end. :lick: The Carbon Fibre & Marvic rims look fantastic  With those improvements the Paso must handle & run very well.

It is interesting that with all those improvements you did not go for the 17 inch rims. Is there any reason you did not? (just curious, I have 16" on my 906 & am very happy with them but 17" seem sto be the way they go)

Excellent, Stefano!

So good to see someone doing such good work with a Paso.

Can you tell us what hp and torque she makes, and what she weighs?

Ciao Stefano,

my list is meanwhile a good piece longer, only the list of engine mods is so long ;) very similar to yours though with Mikuni TDMR 40s, 780cc kit, DSM torque cams, Carillo rods, slightely lightened crankshaft, lightweight flywheel, programmable ignition, the biggest valves possible etc, etc.
I`m still working on the new airbox so she wasn`t on the dyno yet.
Aren`t the Marvics 5x16 or am I`m mistaking this (I have a set at home and would have to check).
What about the glassfibre tank. I remember discussing with you longer time ago that the tank wasn`t holding the fuel 100%. Was this solved ?

Do you use an airbox with the Keihins ?

saluti,

Gerhard

PS: hai dimenticato il panello instrumenti della Supersport. Dove hai trovato il disco freno posteriore, questo ancora mi manca ?

Stefano - that's right gorgeous. Sounds like you've put some good thought and measured enhancement into your Paso. And I love the eye candy, too! Very nice!

 I'm sorry but I don't know the weight and torque.

It would be nice if you could ask for the rear brake disc. I have found the front ones new some time ago, but for the rear I "only" have a flat floating disc. I guess I could use this one if I had an adaptor machined, but I would prefer a correct fitting one.
My programmable ignition, the cables, coils, flywheel and regulator are from Silent Hektik not that cheap but of high quality.
http://www.silenthektik.com/page41.html
The programmable ignition unit makes sense if you have a lot of engine modifications. If your engine is about stock the Pederzini units which are available from Ducati Performance are the cheaper choice for sure.
The programmable ignition even supports "twin spark", which I didn`t do as the additional performance is in no correlation with the risks of an engine damage if there`s a mistake in the setup.
How about your Keihins, do they have open filters or an airbox ?
I`m currently building the biggest Paso airbox you possibly can imagine :) The Mikuni TDMRs will go inside the airbox.

@ redpaso

to answer your question about the 17" wheels.
I planned to go for 17" wheels and had already started the conversion which should also include a different fork and triple clamps. I put in a 4,5x17 rear wheel and it looked poor compared to the Paso rim. Then I tried a 5,5x17 with (if I recall correctly) a 170/60 rear tire, not the 160/60 and it looked much better from the rear. This was just under optic aspect not for driveability.
But somehow I didn`t like the design of the wheels with the rest of the bike. So I sold them and got myself a set of 5 spoke Marchesini wheels. These were really nice but still on the Paso big wheels look strange. At least I feel so.
So I went back to 16" getting myself a pair of Marvic rims, too.
There`s a lot of tire discussions going on, but if you search the internet finding some is not really that hard.
And for handling, I feel that some drivers complaining about the handling don`t even know how old their tires are and I guess that lots of them are riding with tires 5 years and older. Put on fresh ones and handling will be quite different.

thanks for the explaination. The Marvics certianly look great  I also agree on the age of the tyre making a difference to handling. especially if you have teh bike sitting idle for long periods at a time. Like any rubber it will perish over time

Those rims are :lick: !

How did you fasten that rear carbonfiber fender above the rear tire? Drilled some small holes/threads in the aluminium?
