I'm not experienced in bevels, but i enjoy a good ride with my Paso, time to time. My clock reaches 210 kmh, that is quite a lot and enough to get my driving license torn off.
What i would ask to my engine is a bit more torque, not more power. I miss it out of the corners, or in case of overgetting cars or buses in mountain roads.
Increasing torque value is the same as to improve max power? I think it's a bit different, in my eyes. I heard about exhaust mods to increse torque output.
Anyway, compared with bikes same age 750 twins (guzzis) or 400 / 500 / 600 cc 4 cylinders, the Paso standard torque doesnt look so bad to me.

Bikeboy has written a couple of articles. Try this one: http://www.bikeboy.org/dyno.html

I don't think there is a mathematic ratio between power, rpms and torque. On the dyno, the shape of the curves are often very different between power and torque. My 1098R has the max torque at 8.200 rpms and the max power at 10.500 rpms. Never dynoed my Paso. Pretty curious about the result, even if it's not so important.

OK, there is ONLY a mathematical relationship be tween these things, HP is purely a calculation of Torque and RPM.

Calculate the horsepower.

Using the formula HP=(RPM * T) / 5252, determine your engines effective horsepower.

Example: A Porsche 911 generates 480 lb-ft. of torque at 2,500RPM. Expressed in terms of the equation, that is HP = (2500 * 480) / 5252 = 1,200,000/5252 = 228.48hp

If you look at your dyno graph, you will see that torque and HP are the same at 5252 RPM. Torque is the only measurement a dyno makes, the rest is all math.

That is completely confirmed in Phil Irving's "Tuning for Speed" in which he says Torque= bhp X 5250 / rpm

Thank you guys. i'm not an engine tecnic. So this graphic output is not possible? Didn't find my 1098R graphic, so this is a 1098S one, pretty similiar.

Edit: found the 1098R one
