solution for clutch slave cylinder oil leak

Post by Max »

you have to switch to Quad Ring seal. This is not a simple O ring. It solves the problem with leakage. There are claims of 45,000 miles on a 906 and still no leaks. I thought of this solution about 15 years ago when I was looking at my Alfa Romeo's slave cylender. I go mine from http://www.protwins.co.uk/ and the part number is Q4210 559N. There are also available in u.s. It is made out of ethylene propylene and withstands high tempratures and works fine with DOT 3 to 5. My slave cylender piston was worn out but the seal does not seam to care. :neener:

Is there anyway for me to get some of these without buying 50 at a time?? What is the size of the quadring?
