Tubeless valve stems

Post by desmoluci »

Hello all,

I need to replace my rear valve stem as it is broken. Do the Oscam wheels use a special size, or can I use any standard size replacement?

Thanks

They come in 8.3mm and 11.3mm sizes to fit the hole in the rim. For a Ducati you need the smaller 8.3mm size. Like these -

The right angle ones look real good but I found they fouled the front calipers if you have them at 90 deg

I was told by the tyre shop that the right angled ones didn't fit as they weren't long enough for our rims

So, for a few dollars, I bought a brass right-angled adaptor valve-extension to screw on when checking tyre pressures. He had some on the counter. I keep it under the seat. Works mint.

Havers! I have them on my bike, they work perfectly well and they don't foul anything. I also had them on my previous 900SS and the ST4s came with them from new. The SS had the same wheels with the 30/34 calipers and the ST had the 65mm version of these calipers.
I can't of course speak for bikes with 16" wheels and/or 2-piston F08 calipers

Well, back to square one... I'll just get the straight ones then, but the right angle ones would sure make checking and adding air a lot easier.

I found these to be a perfect match to the original by a company called K&L and sold through The Motorcycle Superstore. They seem to be good quality, too.
