evo what if?

Post by birdduck »

There is an 848 evo engine harness and computer for sale locally, I see one forum member did the swap in his 906... For the price I am tempted to purchase it for a winter project?
I know there isn't much benefit other than 40 more ponies, but I think having the 2012 power plant would definitely make for some wow factors and of course the extra power and fuel injection would be AWESOME..
Not scared of a swap, I recently parted with my Lexus v8 powered 4runner..
Should make for a fun winter project..

The main reason I would be doing the swap is for the fuel injection..

If you're not worried about messing up an original Paso then go for it I say.Or better still if you can find a neglected Paso somewhere in which case the sky is the limit......or your budget

As a long-time owner of one of those I recommend it. There were only 500 m750s brought over for '97, and they were all silver (not "Chromo", but an honest silver). Of those, 400 went to California & got special emissions cannisters. I have one of the 100 that went to the other coast. Over 56k angry, hard-earned miles on it.

Whereabouts? What's the deal? (I wonder if I know the seller or a previous owner ... )
Just because you're not dead doesn't necessarily mean you're living, either.
