Grabby clutch

Post by Chilly_bill »

Sounds like there are a few of us with the same problem. With the lever fully compressed the clutch still grabs a little bit. It had never done this before. Started last week. I bled it and still it exibited the same thing, bled it again with identicle results.

Is there a special pressure bleeder needed to extract some mysterious air from the line?
Do I suddenly need to buy new hose?
Help please!

yes, air collects right at the high point around the banjo bolt on the clutch housing.

personally i carefully bled mine with the housing cover removed and hanging down. i then attached the clutch cover and with the bolts .5-1 cm loose i bled it one more time and the clutch has since then been perfect.

Also try checking the adjustment screw on the clutch lever, to eliminate all but a small amount of free play.
