Looking at buying a set of 906/907 17' rims for my 88 750. Are they a direct replacement?
Thanks

Um , pretty sure they wont be 906 rims as they are all 16" , and no they wont just bolt in . Speedo drive unit is different , spacers on the front and rear are different , swing arm needs modified to allow for the larger diameter wheel 16" disc's wont fit 17" wheels , 17" calipers wont fit swing arm or forks without adaptor brackets , and there are a few more issues as well ,and now that tires are again available easier to just fall in love with the 16" rims
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time

Thank you sir. Yeah, now that more tires are available, maybe I'll just go that route. Thanks again!

There're many post about switching to 17" and something about in the FAQ
16" tyres are available by goldentyre or synko tyre brand
