Hi Marco,

Here you have the actual oil temp. sensor (M10x1 mm. - similar thread to a Brembo banjo bolt).
A new one costs 16 euro.

Frank

Hi guys, sorry for my absence during these days but i was busy with job and some motorbike travel...
I hope all of you guys are ok with this fucking virus.... in Italy now the sistuation is quite under control...

And.... finally I have taken out an insurance policy for my Paso and i can drive it on the streets!
It was really exciting to put such a unique bike back on the road!
And the confirmation of what I said, were the looks of the people who turned to look at the motorbike when I passed in the city streets! very beautifull!!
There is still a lot of work to be done to restore it to its original splendor, but one step at a time I want to restore it completely! time to time!

Now i found a guy that create by new the cockpit plexiglass screen for 65€.... i have ordered one and i'm waiting it.... when will arrive, i will post some photos and if somebody of you need the part i will give you the contact... for the moment i saw some pictures on FB about his job and it seems well done.... we'll see...

Hi Marco,

E 'bello risentirti!
I'm very interested in the new plexiglass dashboard cover, so please make as much pictures (details) as possible.
Hope it is a good UV resistant quality since the original version withstands the test of time quite well with the exception of the "ears" which become brittle and break off spontaneously.
If possible try to find out which brand/quality he used.
So, if it is a realy good one, I assume more of us are interested in buying a cover (I am).

Ciao!

Frank

Hi Frank! thanks for your italian message!!
I am also very anxious to see the final result, with the hope of not having thrown 65 euros !! For the moment I have to be satisfied with the positive comments of people who bought the plexy from him ..... as we say in Italy, "sperem" !!! (it means hopefully for good !!)
Certainly on an aesthetic level it will still be better than my current one which moreover has broken hooks and is momentarily glued to the instrument panel.
My intention is to completely restore the instrument panel also changing all the lighting lamps with LEDs... i hope to do a good job like Gerhard (Paso750)

Hi Marco,

Sono solo curioso: già sentito o visto qualcosa sulla copertura dell'cruscotto?
Looking at the picture it seems he has a black plastic framework with the plexiglass glued on top of .... just wonder how he made (assuming he made it himself) the framework.

Hi Frank....! Not yet....

First because during these two weeks i was in vacation on south Italy (obviously by motorbike)
Here the road (beautiful!!) to Campo Imperatore (AQ)

Second because i'm using the Paso sometimes, and do the job on dashboard means stop the bike (i think take long time do the complete job, screed and leds)

honestly i'm thinking to start the job during the winter when i stop the Paso Insurance....
Anyway, as soon as i start the job, i will update all progress and results!!

Ah, another thing.....
The guy who make the plexi is name Federico Astolfi and you can find him on Facebook.

Hi Marco,

Fine you're ok.
Couldn't find the FB link, apparently Federico Astolfi is a common name in Italy.
So, I will have to wait until you have it.
I must say that I will try to order one for my second dashboard if possible.
Do you need to send your "old" dashboard to him or does he send you just the plexi cover?

Regards,

Frank

Hi Frank .... no, I didn't send anything to him .... it's a completely new piece built from scratch. But I must say that it is done really well....

Marco,

Does it mean you have it (the plexi cover) already in your possession? :?:
