750 Paso Rear Turn Signal Indicators

I'm new to the Paso scene, having just bought a white 1988. It's been sitting inside for a dozen years, has just over 7,000 miles on it. Bodywork is almost perfect except for broken rear turn signal stalks. Does anyone know of either A) a source for OEM-type replacements or B) can anyone suggest a good alternative? I'll likely become something of a regular here once I start into it as I'm sure I'll have loads of questions. I have several Laverdas but this is my first Ducati. The Weber carb has been replaced with Mikunis (the Weber came with it as well). I know it'll need quite a bit to put on the road, including new timing belts, likely some hydraulic rebuilding and of course new tires. I haven't actually taken possession yet, that will happen in the next 10 days or so, but I'm pretty excited at the prospect. I've always thought the Paso was a lovely bike, and after riding my first one about a year ago I decided to try and find one.

Hi and welcome, I've generally found it a waste of money to buy used stalks because they are all past their allotted time on earth. I've put what appeared to be perfect stalks on some of my Paso's and gone down to the basement the next day and found them dangling again just from the slight weight of the TS itself. I posted about this a couple of years ago and and discovered Sprint Manufacturing in the UK sells almost a perfect replica that goes on 90's triumphs that fit our TS. It's ribbed and made of a fairly hard plastic that will probably outlast most of us! When looking on the website use the words indicator instead of TS or use search function Ts stalks and my previous post with length info will come up. Hope that helps. Arch

Hey guys
Thanks for the ebay link, randtcastell, and for the Sprint Manufacturing tip, a330us. I'd consider the ebay listing if they had two ... The Sprint option looks good; affordable and close in spirit to the original. Looks a little shorter, which would probably be a good thing. Now to see if I can find the same unit Stateside and avoid international shipping.

There is an eBay seller in Santa Cruz, CA: Valtermotousa:

He is really resourceful. Reach out to him and who knew?

This would be the nicest choi$e:

Yeah they are slightly shorter than the originals but that's probably a good thing.Just go through the list they have and just pick the longest maybe from the sprint model? Best option is to keep looking for the euro tail light but nowadays you might have to take out a second mortgage to procure them :,( Arch.

Thanks for the links randtcastell. Hadn't considered the euro version, mostly because I didn't know the option existed! That would simplify things quite a bit, but at a cost. The aftermarket seems to provide several possible choices of semi-correct looking units, and pretty cheap. I love staying stock when I can, but ...

I did the Euro conversion on mine and am very happy with it. The turn signals blend into the body work much more naturally. Mine too had the saggy, likely aftermarket signals.

That looks good. I just ordered a Euro tail light from an outfit in Belgium. Cheaper than stock replacements, which are almost impossible to find and apparently break immediately anyhow, and a fraction of the cost of sourcing one here in the U.S., even with shipping.

My bad. Red Fox. They were easy to work with, think it took a week tops to get my parts from there (Belgium) to here (US of A). Looks like they've got one yet, 50 euro, which is what I paid for mine.

Thank you murfus. i just ordered used side fairings from them (50 euro each). Seems like a good value and they seem a tad nicer than my Paso's current skirt.
