Does anyone know the correct oil level check routine for a 750 Paso?

For example is it with a cold or hot engine? On the centre stand or on it's wheels? Is it done at running temperature but after an n-minute wait?

I check mine cold, holding the bike upright. I put it in the middle of the window.
