Front End Replacement

Post by Underblog »

To improve handling and make purchasing of tires easier, I would like to replace the 750 Sport's front end with a Monster's. What years work? I notice from Falloon's Belt-Drive Two-Valve Twins book that in 2000 the forks were upgraded to 43 mm USD, and I am guessing that those will not fit. Are 1999 and earlier OK?

I appreciate the help!

What are the upper & lower yoke inner diameter on yours?
If 50/54mm, you have a few Showas to choose from:
851 (late w 320mm brake caliper mount, more discs avaliable),
888, carbed Monsters & SS 1991-99.

Maybe very early 750 or 900SS had similar for dimensions?
