speedometer ratio?

Post by jetboy »

So i reconfigured my front cluster with a round headlight and a 90s era monster fairing - it looks very good, but it also leaves no room for my gauge cluster as it is currently configured.

one option i am exploring is an aftermarket speedometer, but wondered about the ratio - does anyone know it its 1:1, 1:2, or something other? of course i dont need it exact, but somewhere close would be nice.

its still a work in progress- the round bucket is an old cb350 - its actually a decent bucket but it needs a new ring as its got a ding on one side you can see. tomaselli bars just went on - and im looking for a proper ignition switch, the one you see i think is from a honda.

The choice of speedo is tasteful. the bare minimum. Now I know why you haven't been by the house lately. You have been busy working on you bike.

I have an ignition switch in the garage that will fit your bike.

yeah, i need to come down and see about that mounting plate as well - i still dont have the little adapter nipples needed to put on the steel lines for the oil cooler - he never has sent them.

they are $17 a piece at munroes, and i would have got them just to speed up things but they only had one so i decided to wait as im working on other parts anyway.

im thinking the speedo must be 1:1 as its just going from the front wheel directly-- no reason for it to be anything else right? one hopes- heh.
