Here's a good way to start the New Year, a Duc dilemma! There's a 750 Sport FS to the north of me, and a 750 Paso to the south, and I'm wondering which would make a "better" addition to my stable, along with the 907 and M S4R. (Assuming reasonable condition and price, of course.) I have room for one more bike, and somehow feel compelled to fill the space.
What would you do? Opinions, please!

750 Sport versus 750 Paso

Re: 750 Sport versus 750 Paso
i would go with the sport. that would make three different types of ducatis. the 907 is ,as you know, is an updated paso. unless you just want more pasos which is cool too. blaster

Thanks, blaster. I'm waiting for a call back from the seller of the Sport. I looked at your other posts -- looks like you are the go-to guy for all things Sport!

Re: 750 Sport versus 750 Paso
Definitely the Sport.
1. Its more rare than the Paso, as it was imported to the US for only one year.
2. You already have a Paso. (and the best one. The
750 would be a let down)
3. Its the closest most of us will get to and F1
4. If you like to hotrod your bikes, the Sport is a much better base than the Paso. Take all the body work off it, and you have a very cool street fighter.
Otherwise,
- Same Motor and carb.
- Same wheels, brakes and controls.
- Rather poor forks and shock on the Sport. (steal a front end from a Paso and get a 900ss shock)
Cheers,
Phil

I don't fully agree, but perhaps I also would see to the Sport.ducinthebay wrote:2. You already have a Paso. (and the best one. The

I heard back from the Sport seller via email, kind of a vague, brief reply, enigmatic, even, you might say ... sometimes things that are advertised for sale are not really for sale! Guess I'll sleep on it ... ... g'night ...
