CLUTCH QUESTION

Post by davidgoblet »

Hello everybody,

Here is the little far Belgium owner of a 750 SPORT.

I have read a lot and a lot about clutch slave cylinder.
Mine is out.
So I decided to do like GERHARD said.
Replace with the 91-97 (900). Have also a 608 zz bearing now.

But if I want to put my old mushroom how can I have it from the old slave cylinder ???

Notice: My mushroom is 14 mm wide not like some others 16 mm.

Sorry, it's maybe a stupid question but if someone could explain it to me.

Thanks a lot

Hi,

the mushroom pin is just stuck into the bearing. With heat dust and the years it may sit tight.
Spray some WD40 or similar on it and let it penetrate some time, then you could try to lift the mushroom pin with something flat like small screw driver or a carpet knife.
If the old piston is shot you could also drill a hole through the center of the back and push it out.

I ordered a spare pin longer time ago and it`s also a little smaller than the one that was originally on the bike.
