I must be getting nicked in the head in my old age, actually can picture it finished and painted and think it won't look 1/2 bad when done, you can see the steel fairing lowers in the background, damn nice sheet metal work he's done.
This image should really go into the Ducati photo thread or G's I have no words thread, think it qualifies.

Hey there Mc Tool
Your right, and wouldn't have been most people's choice I'd say, me included
But if he has made that tail section himself, it's a bloody nice bit of sheet metal work, but not sure now if they are fairing lowers in the background after looking at the picture again.
Cheers
Peter

That bike has been for sale more than a year and started out at 1500 usd but I see he put the carbs on it that came with the package so extra 500. Well beauty is in the eye as they say but I don't see anything that he's done that improved on the original and why steel? Arch.

G'Day there Arch,
'Pose that's the thing, tis a curious medium to choose, if someone was handy with photoshop and could colour the tail section in and add some basic graphics could be interesting or most likely not
At a guess he bought the poor thing at a bargain price with bits missing, full of good intentions, but reality may have gotten in the way...
Cheers

Re: Good Lord, poor thing.
Hi Peter, I was interested at one time but he was always firm on the price and since I've got two of them anyway I was thinking it would be a good basis for a custom. I've seen several nice customs using this bike as a basis but those steel panels were not part of my vision Arch.
