The bike is getting better and better
Interesting that the thread pattern of the front and rear tire is reversed.

That seems to be normal with most modern tyres I think it may be because the maximum traction forces are reversed - braking for the front, accelerating for the rear.paso750 wrote:The bike is getting better and better

Yep I wreckon you're onto it, I bought the paint the other day, took the all the bodywork to graphics place today on recommendation from the guys I get the paint off, so things are still moving in the right direction . Setting up the recently acquired single seat piece and how to fabricate the backrest piece,I'm planning to reglass/ bog all the predrilled fixings and then redrill as most are pretty flogged out, bit of prep needed but if I nail that I've got half a chance of a pretty good paintjob

Just starting the paint preparation process as I know it, 240 wet/ dry to remove clearcoat, decals, in the case of the fairings now I'm removing the white over a full coat of red then the red to end up with mainly grey/ originally primer, on fibreglass, careful not to expose fibres as they are later hard to get rid of, then some fiberglass repair/ strengthening on the back of panels and finish with car filla on the finish side, I've been standing this panel for a good hour and a long way to go

Lots of block sanding with 240 wetdry, good few hours work, I used the orbital on the right side fairing which made it easier getting the clear coat and old decals off, those 2 panels are nearly ready to prime, just need to plug away , hope to pick the bike up from the shop tomoz, also the decals, happy days
