I've seen covers similar to this one but with just three holes in the 6-9 o'clock position. With a template and some patience you should be able to make three almost identical holes also by hand. I'm sure that'll already make a difference in venting the clutch.

Thanks and I will keep looking at this , no hurry as the motor is still in my shed waiting on some parts before going in for surgery
