In fact the stock 907s have white rims (which become always dirt) :,( :,( :,( :,( :,( :,( :,( :,( :,(

This is my baby after a little restoration.

yes mick your bike does look great and its good to see it being used on those hairpins and in the sunshine. but without critisism, imagine if there where no more paso on sixteen inch wheels left on the road? i for one aim to keep my 906 on 16's and on the road being used for as long as possible.  :)

nnnnnnorman,

Actually, in hindsight I think 16in with different tyres is cheaper and easier as well (especially for the 906 with the wider crankcase and better chain clearance).

But the Paso is the workhorse in my garage - the over indulged 'show pony' is the Supersport ! So the Paso gets form over function. The brakes were actually what decided the issue for me (it's our two-up tourer). I felt the 17in route would allow me to use the best brake parts I had in my spares bin.

But I totally understand the desire to keep the low profile, original 16in look - I guess I just like a big front wheel, almost 'tucked' into the fairing!

Cheers,

Mick

PS I really like the black paint job on a Paso!

Hello Guy's !
here's the bike from page 4 with the black rims and "too big rear-tire" once again, a little modificated thru the years:

optical better than with black tyre on a black rim, Gerd ? :-)

in my opinion, it is optical better than a 16" wheel with 150/80-16 tyre, as I've seen on a Bimota DB1...
