906 front brake upgrades?

Post by badhabrace »

HI Everyone!
Thanks to advice I got from ducatipaso.org,I recently converted my 906 from a tired Weber to a 38mm Mikunis and they are working great! THANKS!
My next project (without taking a second mortgage) is upgrading front brake sysytem. I have heard using the 907 front rotors, calipers and master cylinder are the best option for this. Anyone care to share their ideas? Thanks much and be safe!

I have changed to my 750 Paso hole 907IE system with bigger master cylinder and steel braded brake lines and i am VERY, VERY happy to my choise. Those 4 pistons need bigger main sylinder, than that Paso750/906 original master is. That modification make very big improvment to braking feeling of Paso... Anyway those black coloured 91 907 Brembos start to be very hard to find, but You can go also to "gold line" ones. Those black ones are these days very rare already, so if i have to choose black, or gold, ill go for black ones... Just, cause they start to be rare.... Like 851/888 SP Ducati modells...

Anyway U have to make adapters to fit 4 pistons to M1R fork. Somewhere here are topic for those, remembering...

Calipers: Brembo goldline 4 pistons P30/34C.
Master cylinder: Brembo radial 999's.
Rotors: Brembo 300 mm. full floater.

I haven't had make any modification to fit the parts above.

907 have different M1R, than 750 and 906, witch BOTH need adapters. 91 and 92 modell 907 have same distance in those mounting holes in legs, so it can use both black and gold line(older modell) calipers. Newer gold lines have bigger distance.
