Radiator size ?

Post by phil_h »

Can someone tell me the dimensions of standard 906 Paso radiator please.
I'm looking for something a bit narrower than what is fitted to my new 906-paso-engined-spondon, and I'm not even sure what the radiator that is fitted to it is from.

Looks great! It being a Spondon I guess you are local to that area? Anyway, I am waiting for an mph speedo for my paso and when it arrives I will look at the radiator too.

The radiator measures 16" x 7.5" and is about 1.5" thick. It has two 1" pipes for fluid in and out but no car type rad filler cap.

That definitely sounds different - you obviously spotted the filler cap poking out of the fairing !
Hmm. Not sure what to do next, but I guess I'll get it running without putting the fairing back on anyway ;)

Remember that racing bikes use a smaller radiator!
This happened also in Ducati, when some 888 sp ready to race were bound to street use!
Dealers had to change radiators from small to standard in aftermarket!
have a nice ride, Nicola

I understand what you are saying nicola, but I think the rad on mine is not only not a ducati rad, but a bit big really.
I think I'll have to run the bike without the fairing at first anyway, and monitor the temperature with the rad its got before I change anything.
Lots of wiring and things arriving at the mo off ebay to fit before I get it running anyway ;)
