belt tensioners and idle pulleys anybody?

ive been told it would be a good idea to change my belt tensioners and idle pulleys while im at my engine overhaul. has any body got any they want to sell or can recomend a supplier? its a 906. thanks. :thumbup: :cool: :)

Why not original spare parts?
belt tensioner are standard bearings available anywhere, idle pulleys should be worth for less tham 100~120 usd

thanks nicola its an option worth considering if no one has any laying around gathering dust and lookin for a new home. :thumbup:

I thought about replaceing those too but the idler on mine the mounting bolt and the roller were one part assy and bloody expensive ....... so they are still there :)
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time

Just as McTool says, the one-piece bearing (SKF as std) is expensive as it's probably peculiar to our 2v engines (around £35 from Ducati) but the other side-by-side bearing (i.e. 2 required per belt) can be obtained anywhere (as ducapaso has said) for less than at Ducati dealers. The company 'simply bearings' has a good reputation and I would certainly recommend that you try them.

thanks giocast all usefull information there. :thumbup: i am working to a budget so the side by side option sounds like a winner. :cool:
