Re: belt tensioners and idle pulleys anybody?
Why not original spare parts?
belt tensioner are standard bearings available anywhere, idle pulleys should be worth for less tham 100~120 usd

Re: belt tensioners and idle pulleys anybody?
I thought about replaceing those too but the idler on mine the mounting bolt and the roller were one part assy and bloody expensive ....... so they are still there
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time
Re: belt tensioners and idle pulleys anybody?
Just as McTool says, the one-piece bearing (SKF as std) is expensive as it's probably peculiar to our 2v engines (around £35 from Ducati) but the other side-by-side bearing (i.e. 2 required per belt) can be obtained anywhere (as ducapaso has said) for less than at Ducati dealers. The company 'simply bearings' has a good reputation and I would certainly recommend that you try them.

thanks giocast all usefull information there. i am working to a budget so the side by side option sounds like a winner.
