Here in Finland foggy day with temperature about +3C and after few hours it can start to rain, so: No ST2 drive here today and seems, that driving season is near over now. Temperatures are already very low and also first snow came few days ago. It smelted away, but not so comfortable motorbiking anymore... :,(

looks like today we will get a small reprieve from the impending cold weather here in the north eastern USA. Most of the leaves are still on the trees and not the roadways and no sign of rain at least here in Pennsylvania, looks like the guys up north have been doing too many rain dances :banghead: Weatherman says we will be near 70F(21C)
If I can get one of them back together,it looks like a ride could happen

In Nelson the sun was up by 7 am , no clouds, perfect day for a ride , but my Mrs ( bless her ) had offered me up as a coach to 2 older gents ( a more ignorant , stubborn pair Ive yet to meet   ) who have just gone halves on a small boat and dont have the slightest f------- clue how to get it in the water and catch a fish.
I have not laughed so much...............
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time

Beautiful day, never made it out of the driveway :banghead: Spent most of the day cleaning up the wiring on the 907 so that I could finally wire up the relays for the dual H4. What a mess  Almost done, just have to mount the cut switch for the low beams, catch some dinner and then out for a late day ride into the sunset to see how the new candles work

We have a long weekend (Monday is a public holiday) which normally means rain, but so far all good. So, managed to get in 200km over the Rimutuka hill and into the Wairarapa, where it was full sun and some warmth in the air. Summer is threatening!!

Cheers,

Fraser.

On the 906 I did my own relay setup for the dual H4
On the 907 I purchased a kit with a low beam switch from Easternbeaver. The relay install was pretty simply,it was other wiring issues that got a little more involved.
Put a pair of Silverlight bulbs in, very bright but mainly a wider lighting pattern. We have a lot of deer around this time of year and lighting the entire roadway helps to avoid meeting up close them unexpectedly :choo:

yes can be messy coliding with animals. a badger had a friend off his Z400 once. the badger will turn to face the oncoming vehicle rather than run away. deer just panick and could do almost anything but often try to jump the vehicle resulting in a nasty mess. i once had an emu trying to keep pace with me at about fifty kph but opened the norton up and the noise scared it off back into the bush. worse though were the dogs in south africa. they sleep in the sun waiting for motorbikes to wake them up and then proceed to attack tyres and flayling legs. dangerous critters.
on my 906 i took gerhards advice and fitted the fz headslamp with some improvement.
