Starter - cock ups and cures.

Post by Oldrocker »

Starter packed up 10 miles from home at the local hospital. Bumped it down the road by the heart unit ( handy, I thought ) and home…haven’t done that for nigh on 50 years.

After replacing the disintegrated internal & external insulation I managed to re-assemble the starter body 180◦ off - resulting in lots of spin and no engagement.

Very many thanks to All who posted the cure  - still don’t understand why but then never could my head around sparky stuff :banghead: .
