Magnetti Digiplex2s gets cooler

Post by JWilliam »

Noticed the Digiplex2s ignition unit seems to operate at a warm to hot temperature so I fitted a PC type fan inside the left side cover to blow cool air under the seat and over the ignition unit. Rode it and it fired as usual. Stopped for a snack and then started the engine and what do you know! The engine usually takes 3 or 4 seconds on the starter before it fires but this time the motor turned over twice and started, and has done so ever since - just like an injection model! I'll not buy that "Silent Hektik" ignition unit just yet.

Good informative reply there, I shall be racing the Paso during September and will report the findings, I am confident that this will solve reliability problems of the unit.
