I don't know why they didn't just call it a 900 Paso and be done with it. They didn't call the 750 a 748 Paso....even tho it has 748cc :wacko:

Its Italian, and its an Italian designer talking, so logic is out the window straight away. Then add in the marketing department and all bets are off. Not that either department has ever been accused of partaking in mood altering devices, but imagination runs strong there. You would do well to sit back and enjoy the show and not ask why.

I have worked with Industrial Designers for 20 years now, and I am always amazed at things that they find critical to the design. Things the common consumer hardly cares about, or notices, much less makes a purchasing decision on it. But they will fight to the end of the project for it.

So how many of you bought the 906 because the logo is nice and symmetrical?

Nice story though.

I thought it was called the 906 so that if you ended in a ditch upside down they would still be able to recognise that it was a 906 :lol:

I always thought that it was so that when they put the decals on upside down after the Chianti break it wouldn't matter.
