Need Part No for Injector Relays ! ?

Post by Bomber »

Any of you Guys know where to get the relays with fuses for the injectors :?:
My 92 907ie will occaisionally not fire up, has no spark at either plug, fuel pump runs and engine spins ok.
When the bike does starts it runs fine.
I have found the 15A fuse is a loose fit in one of the injector relays hence my intermittent starting (Hot or Cold).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi.
This matter has been discussed before and I think it is difficult to find replacement part for relays with buildt in fuses.
I had the same problem on mine, one of the fuses had melted because of the bad connection, what i did was buying some ordinary
5 pin relay and also an fuseholder witch i mounted on the aluminumplate abowe the relays. Never had a problem since.

NO, it CANT be such relay !!!! I take just out ORIGINAL relay from my 907IE and pins 30 and 86 have to locate VIA VERSA !!!!! Another is for primary circuit and and another is for secondary circuit, so they CANT BE mixed at all..... :)

Thanks for the info Guys

Havard, I understand this relay worked in your bike ?
Antti, has discovered that pins 86 & 30 are shown to be reversed on the relay diagram !
I Have checked the diagram showing the internals of the relay and it matches the 907ie schematic.
Confused !
I have found another relay, it shows the same way!!! :dunno:

Help please.

Hi.
Yes i can confirm i used this relay, forgot to mention I had to swap the two cabels in the base socket to match the new relay, so it is not a stright swap but it was an quite simple job to do as far as i can remember.

I will try to post some pictures as soon as I can, maybe in a couple of weeks.

I have bought two relais with build in fuses of Ripaults.
problem with these is that they are not as closed as the originals, who have a cover over the fuse. Not sure about the part number, but will look it up and post it for those who are interrested.

I just check Your link database and there is just same fault, as pins 30 and 86 should been via versa.... I hava agian original 907IE relay out from my bike and i double check pins just.

Solution is just, as Harvard told to change 2 pins location in relay base wirings    but those primary and secondary circuits CANT BE MIXED, as then its "shortcut" Btw, i can see very clearly original relays pins numbers close pins under relay, so i stay in my taughts....

Gerry, i found another problem from Your datasheet(that link):

Original relay use 2 output pins(87/NO/Normal Open)) (both are numbered as 87 !!!), BUT your datasheet("datashit" ) relay have only one 87 output as 87 is NO(Normal Open) and 87a is NC(Normal Closed) pins...... still can be modified, hahahahaha.... but i would search better relay to my 907IE...

Guys,
Have looked everywhere to get same relay & cant find any, BUT have just phoned my local Ducati shop today and the parts guy thinks he has these relays !!!!! with fuses.
I have ordered 2, and will let you know if they are th correct relays !
If they are correct i will find out if he has more.
Two relays will cost £28, here in Scotland.

:D Got 2 new injector relays from Ducati, they work fine
Cost only £20 for two not £28 as I was first told !

Would post some images but can not get the images into the post :?

All pins etc are the correct way.

The Manufaturer is Italamec

If anyone can tell me how to post images, I can show the relay !

Cheers
