Bar riser options? and Cruise control options?

Post by BrianC »

First, 10/10 to Mike Roten for getting me signed up, after some initial difficulties...
Second, as a new 907ie owner (also have a Cagiva 900ie) I have a few queries:
-what options are there for bar risers? I'd prefer an 'up-and-back' movement, which shouldn't be that hard with the right aluminium blocks and hole drilling/tapping.....
-what are the best options for mechanical cruise controls? I have a thumb on-off type on the 900ie, but it steals about 10mm of the grip space and is a bit uncomfortable as a result. The bar-end type may not fit, as my bars appear to be solid....... Pity the 'choke' control hasn't a bigger throttle range.
-I'd like to connect with other owners in Melbourne, Oz. I'm in the DOCV, but not sure how many 907ie owners there are in the club. Seems to be mostly 996 and 749 owners....

Never used a control cruise on a bike. Really, neither on a car...
