Hello
I am new in this forum
Drive past few decades Ducatis and I have now bought a 907ie.
The motorcycle comes from a collection unfortunately some things had not been seen.
Service Jam, no timing belt change, damaged rear swing arm caused by incorrect installation of the spacer sleeve.
On both side panels are missing the retaining plug to the tank.
For this, a question for you
Is there a repair solution for the side panels.?
regards
Uwe

Re: New Owner
Hi Uwe , welcome to the mad house . I have seen side panels on e bay , which probly would have to include a paint job . If you have the broken off bits a good polyester glue should stick em back on .
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time

Re: New Owner
" and today's cryptic X word clue is .................
Then I would investigate fitting some well nuts to the tank and drilling 6mm holes where pins used to be and use some 6mm fairing screws to attach side panel , gee ! if you did it right it would probly look "factory "

Re: New Owner
Last 907s (like mine black one) don't have the big plugs on the rear fairings and the gum on the tank.
They only have some little cylindrical plugs and no gum.
She came so by factory. I bought mine stock and with very little mileage.
Don't worry.
Ciao

Re: New Owner
Hello
Thanks for the reply
Without fixing the side cover scrubs the tank
The variant where the two plugs sit in rubber would be useful
So I thought
Have glued hard rubber provisionally small spacer.
Yesterday was the first test drive with Bridgestone S20 120/170
Runs very well
Unfortunately, caused by the previous owner opened the air filter box when accelerating very strong noise.
The little things are no problem.

Uwe

Re: New Owner
He may removed the short, round Air Intakes. Get Noisy but mine runs better without.
