300 mm brake discs

I've tested the brakes on my bike. When I removed the pads for inspection, they had distinct grooves in them; Two grooves on one side of the wheel and three grooves on the other side.
Time to replace the discs.
I've been looking.
I need to take the front wheel off to measure accurately, but they look like 300mm diameter discs, which tallies up with all the info I've seen on the 1991 907ie models.
The EBC ones look good to me. Any opinions/experience of them, anyone?

Thanks

John

The EBC rotors work well. I put them on my ST2, and liked them better than the stock stainless rotors. Reasonably priced. Worked well. Cast iron is better performing, but more expensive.

The cheapest option is a set of Yamaha YZF rotors. I ran them on my 750 Sport for a few years and never had any issues. I am now putting them on my 907, for the same reason as you.

Cheers, Phil

p.s., there are several other posts that describe all the 300mm rotors out there.

Thanks for your reply ducinthebay.

I have the 'alternative' list printed out (somewhere!)

I want to keep the original look of the bike as much as I can, so I'll be fitting the discs with the gold coloured carriers.
I see that Stein Dinse in Germany sell the brake pads with the little spring attached to them, just like the ones that were on the bike when I acquired it. 40 Euros a pair. Ouch! Still - - - - -

SD has nothing you can`t find in the UK.
You find a list of bikes using the same size discs in the FAQs.

Projectman,

I would just buy whatever after market pad I liked, not worrying about getting the ones with the anti-rattle spring like the OEM ones shown below, and get a set of the later model (900ss maybe) anti-rattle springs, also shown below. They will fit the calipers perfectly and that way you still have an anti-rattle spring and the number of brake pads you can choose from will multiply as not many pad makers have the "built-in" anti-rattle spring like OEM. Just a suggestion. I use them.
