Can anyone tell me if the 1991 fork legs are different from the 1992 on the 907ie?
The bolts are 40mm apart, but is the location of the lug different?
I have purchased 320mm rotors as well as new P34 Brembo gold calipers .Took a quick fit up without my wheel and it looked like they will work with my fork legs. ( My wheels are at the powder coater until the weekend.)
If you have a 1992 ,could you measure the location of the lugs for me? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

The answer is "probably".
The 1991 had 300 mm rotors, and the 1992-3 had 320mm rotors. Same wheels, and sometimes same calipers (black or gold) So yes, there are two different fork legs. No obvious visual differences.

Cheers, Phil

I have a 93 model with 320mm discs. As near as I can measure, the distance from the bottom of the fork leg to the centre of the lower caliper lug is 145mm.

With both a '91 and a '92 in the garage, it is easy to compare. The results are:

'91
Distance from centre of axle to bottom calliper lug: 110 mm
'92
Distance from centre of axle to bottom calliper lug: 120 mm

It does make sense as the brake discs on the '92 are 20 mm bigger diameter, so 10 mm larger radius...

Sorry buddy, but they are not the same for exactly this reason...

Thanks for all of the replies and assistance. It has helped as I work through this. I am amazed at how small the 907 community is. There is so little info on the web to work with. I am a licensed Ducati mechanic and will help try to provide as much info from my experiences with my 907 as possible to help others.
I am going to use the Brembo Goldline ( P4 3--34 with 40mm spacing)) calipers that I purchased from Bevel Heaven along with Brake Tech Axis Iron 320mm rotors that I purchased from Chris Kelly at California Cycle works.I had a set of 1992 forks purchased from EBAY but when they showed up someone had ground the caliper mounting lugs at some point ( who knows why) and rendered them useless, so I sent them back for a refund.I am now looking for a set of lower fork legs to make this work out.In the meantime I will be using 300mm EBC Pro-Lite rotors so I can at least ride the bike.
After I get the forks I need I will switch over to different pads and the Iron rotors.
I have re-powdercoated my wheels as when I purchased the bike the PO had done a lousy job on them. I have also reworked the rear cush drive with Titanium pins from TPO parts as well as new cush lugs and Supersprox sprockets with machined 90 degree valve stems.
I have also upgraded to a Nissin Radial pump master cylinder with 5/8 piston.
