blue wire out of left side handle bar switch
I can not identify this wire, was connected to frame tube just down from the re/rectifier mount. Is this a ground wire? It is blue not black, and connects into the left side handle bar switch. Diagram does not show it or I just can not see well enough at 68!

It's the ground wire for the horn button.

Derek, that would be the grey wire.
The diagram shows:

There`s a blue/black going to the flasher relay and a blue which seems to be low beam.

I beg to differ. The grey wire is from the horn to the horn push button and is shown on the diagram as that. The horn button provides a connection to ground and is shown as a ground point on the diagram. In reality there is a blue wire from the switch, separate from the multiconnector which is connected to the frame to provide the ground for the horn button.paso750 wrote:Derek, that would be the grey wire.

I know this because I just repaired the horn on a friends 900SS last week. The horn didn't work because the blue wire had broken off from it's terminal, in the 900SS's case bolted to the bottom yoke. The 900SS uses the same LH switch as the 907.

Thank you all, now I can push forward with confidence to the next issue, locating the correct 7mm in tank injection line.
