Post by Finnpaso »

Ok, hello guys (for long time) :)

I noticed few months ago, that my another 907 needs new fuel pump and i tried to search "907 fuel pump" from here, but found nothiong. I decided to ask direct, so: What all possibilities are for new fuel pump from EU area for 907IE (as now ordering from USA is very expensive)?

If someone have bought such from EU, then some advices will be really welcome, company, web page, price, etc.

Remembering also that i have answered to such question long time ago some way, but i really didnt find....hahahaha: Its already dementia in my brains !!!

ps. better for me is new one, but also used i can think.

I find from 907 tecnical FAQ about replacement: Bosch 0580464993 and made Ebay search. Result was, that cheapest with shipping to Finland was from UK. 169,70€ item + 4,57€ shipping to Finland => total 173,74€

Antii Hello stranger (although seen you hanging around Facebook). Let me know if you see anything this side of Europe, I am sure we can get it sorted a bit cheaper than that, if it helps get it dropped off at mine and I'll repost which may make it a bit cheaper? As always postage to Finland always seems to be a bit more expensive than most.

Maybe you could try France as the pump is used in the Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi ?

Folk running 1.9 GTi 's upgrade or replace with this item a Walbro Pump (255LPH)

Not sure if this will do but here is an example that is fairly cheap from Australia ???? Not sure if our folk on this site over there have used this type - Maybe they could add input here?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WALBRO-255-FU ... 0F_2Qlp_cA

Further info on them here
http://www.autoperformanceengineering.c ... specs.html

How about this one really cheap not a Walbro though ???

Hi Antti,

Been a while since you made an appearance here, how have you been? Rediscovering the Paso, you know they need regular exercise; just like the dog.

Cheers,

:D they don't chase sticks Fraser  ( and don't nobody tell me that they rode theirs into a bush........unless you have funny pix :) )
Is there anything peculiar to the 907 fuel pump ? Im thinking that there must be a car that has a fuel pump with either the same or similar spec's to the 907 pump ( I don't even know wether it's an "in tank" pump or not ) but there must be something out there . I know originality is important to some people but if you could find a pump significantly cheaper that only needed a new or modified bracket ( for instance ) why not ?
I wish I was young again............Id be heaps smarter than last time

VERY NICE to hear You, ALL my Very Good Friends :)

Steve: Not so much time to hang on FB at all and i havent updated my things, fotos, etc there at all for very long time, simple: no time for it :(
As U know, if we EU persons want to buy something from Australia, its very expensive for us. I have bought few sets of Conti's from Australia and that shipping costs was same as item price!!! .... Do U know, is there ANY problems to fit Welbro 255 LPH to 907 fuel tank??? Anyway i think, that we make some deal together to get some UK fuel pump to Finland :)

Derek: I have to think allways total costs (item+shipping) and its sad to see, that shipping is very expensive these days no matter item is fairly priced. Anyway 907 and 851 have same fuel pump and again wondering shipping costs...

Fraser: I know, i know, as we have apricot miniature pudel...hahahahahahahah....

Mc Tool: I know, that there are few cars using same fuel pump, but its too "big job" to start to ask all those car manuafatures for such fuel pump, so we know, that Bosch number and its "perfect fitment" to original pump. At the end that 907 tank holder for fuel pump is quite unique, so i dont want so much to start make modifications to that holder inside tank.

Still: ANYONE here, WHO have fit Welbro pump to 907IE ???? Any mods needeed ????

I just checked on carriage prices from the UK to Finland.
Assuming a weight of 1kg (should be much less) and a package size of 25cm x 10cm x 10cm the quotes vary from around £15 to over £60 depending the carrier and on how fast you want it.

Hi Antti.

Good to see you are back again. Last year the fuel pump in my 907 had a hernia and decided it was a good time to take its leave from this world. I purchased a replacement out of the US from Euro Motoelectrics. Its not a Welbro, but it was a simple plug and play unit. Even the connections were the same! The actual unit was:

http://www.euromotoelectrics.com/EnDura ... 576edl.htm

I ended up getting the whole kit, which included the gauze filter, the rubber sleeve and the plastic clip plate. I also got half a dozen fuel filters to go along with it all. I don't think postage was too excessive, and the whole lot was in my mail box inside a couple of weeks.

If all else fails, do you have a BMW distributor near by? They may have an old K series fuel pump on the shelf..

Cheers.

Nick.

Yo Anti, Got mine from somewhere in Europe. Walbro will work but you need a different filter/sock and a piece of rubber to fit it in the normal bracket. Have the info here somewhere but have to find it. Someone here posted a direct replacement right after I had to replace mine, A BMW I think,   Good to see you brother

I bought one from my local auto parts store for $38. It is a bit smaller than stock so would need to be adapted to fit into the rubber ring that secures the pump into the tank itself. The critical thing is that it runs 3 bar pressure. Less than that and I would think there will be fueling trouble. Too high a pressure delivery may be a problem too. It also has to be small enough to fit into the appointed tank location. I believe the delivery rate should be sufficient as most every car will have a higher demand than the 907. Funny how a car fuel pump is not generally an item needing replacement but on a Ducati, it happens relatively often. I've already changed my 900SS fuel pump after only 12,000 miles. I believe I saw a post here about the 907 fuel pump I bought, from some time ago.
